Bear in mind, most of these games came out pre-home internet so as a child I remember the sheer “information broker” feeling that rushed over me as I got to tell my friend something that could completely change up that game they were playing. A time when almost every game out there wasn’t complete unless it had some sort of secret or cheat code. A lot of these games came out in a time well before “achievements” and “trophies” dominated the gaming scape.
